What is the difference bettween the old iphone and the iphone 3g?

I want to know the differences between the old iphone and the one that is coming out in july.|||3G - High speed internet access

GPS - built in GPS for mapping

Thinner

Better battery life

multiple colors available (for the 16GB)|||The old Iphone uses the GSM platform where the 3G phone will use the UMTS platform. More speed in the new system. If you have a 3G phone now download something from the net then go to a GSM only area and download something...They each use a different platform and 3G is much faster and we're working on making it even faster now...|||And now you can use the iPhone via Wi-Fi. Meaning, if your on the phone and it detects a Wi-Fi network, it will automatically switch from Edge or 3G (depending on where you are) to Wi-Fi, and not use up your minutes.|||It is thinner around the edges only .

It is actually a little wider and thicker overall

It has 3G internet access

It has built in gps

slightly longer talk time

different case

newer os.
